The Portuguese national team’s new home kit has drawn a lot of negative comments on Twitter. Fans criticize the outfit that Cristiano Ronaldo and Co. will wear in their hunt for the title at the World Cup finals in Qatar, especially its lack of imagination.
Twitter user @TiagoVa52556249 wrote: “I’m Portuguese but I hope we get eliminated in the prelims so I don’t have to watch this further.” @IliaZaatar23 saw it similarly, for whom the shirt is “absolute rubbish”.

The usually well-informed portal footyheadlines leaked the new home jersey of the 2016 European champions on Sunday. The shirt from outfitter Nike is divided by a diagonal stripe, with the upper half being red and the lower half being green. A rather simple design.
