A new police production arrives this Monday on TF1. Co-produced by the United States, the United Kingdom, Sweden and France, “Cannes criminal police”, led by Lucie Lucas, known for her role in “Clem” and Tamara Marthe (the real name of the singer Shy’m ). This six-episode series will delight fans of the genre. Tamara Marthe answered our questions.
Here you are again in the shoes of a cop, Léa Robert. Tell us about your character?
Léa is a Parisian police officer who landed in Cannes. She works with Camille Delmasse, her superior. A beautiful friendship developed between them over time. Léa is strong, determined, forged by her profession and her past life. She loves being on the field. And she also has a lot of humor.
How much of the real Tamara have you put in this Léa?
She’s a bit of a tomboy. I know I’m known for my feminine side, very feminine, but in real life, I’m more like that. And there is also his determination, his protective side.
Léa Robert is played by Tamara Marthe, better known under the pseudonym Shy’m.

How was your collaboration with Lucie Lucas who plays Lieutenant Camille Delmasse?
We met for the first time during choreographed fight rehearsals. When you are uprooted, away from home and family for three months, it is essential to be able to count on each other. Lucie and Jamie Bamber, who plays Harry, are very simple people.
You shot the entire series in English. Is it a language you master?
I am not bilingual, even if I defend myself well. But there was a particular vocabulary in the police field. So I had a month of coaching before filming. We had to keep this French accent, since the series takes place in Cannes.
And are you the one who dubs the voice of your character in the French version?
I couldn’t see myself giving my voice to anyone else. The voice is part of the character.
Lucie Lucas moves from the role of Clem to that of Cannes police lieutenant Camille Delmas.

And Léa is jealous of Harry who is becoming closer and closer to Camille?
Léa is especially suspicious of Harry from a professional point of view. Nobody knows him, he is very mysterious. He inserts himself into their investigations and seems to have unorthodox methods. But it turns out that it becomes essential to solve certain investigations.
So we know that you are sporty and after seeing how you fight, no one will come to trouble you?
And I still have a lot of leftovers [rires]…I had already done karate and boxing, but the training was quite difficult because the goal is to never have contact.
Léa Robert (Tamara Marthe) finds that Harry is getting a little too close to his colleague and friend Camille Delmas.

The theme song of the series is excellent, musically close to “Amically yours”. As a music professional, what did you think about it?
I loved. It has that addictive side of good generics. From the first listen, I felt like I already knew him.
Lucie Lucas and Tamara Marthe play two friends who are also colleagues in the police.

You are asserting yourself more and more as an actress. Does this mean you said goodbye to Shy’m?
Oh no ! Music is my first love and it will be my lifelong passion. I try to lead my two careers at the same time by following great projects. One feeds the other. I don’t put pressure on myself.
Two bursts of three episodes on TF1 on Monday from this evening at 9:10 p.m.
