Pokémon trainers are invited to discover the mystery behind the Illumina phenomenon in the New Pokémon Snap, now available for the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite consoles.
As a rising Pokémon photographer, you arrived in the Lental region to participate in a Pokémon research program with the region’s specialist, Professor Mirror and his assistant, Rita. You will help them in ecological research, photographing Pokémon living in their daily routine in the wild, and venture from island to island driving their faithful vehicle, the Neo-One, and discovering wild Pokémon in their enchanting natural habitats.
Professor Mirror will assess your dexterity with the camera while investigating the mysterious phenomenon Illumina and creating your Pokémon Photodex. Each of your photos will have an evaluation that will vary between one and four stars, according to the rarity of the behavior captured in the photo. And your search camera not only takes pictures, but it also helps you to communicate and analyze essential data while searching. By analyzing the areas around you with the camera’s scan feature, you will be able to locate hidden Pokémon and find points of interest. Some Pokémon may even react to the scan sound and signal. Melodies played by the camera’s sound feature can also wake up sleeping Pokémon and even make them start dancing! (From the newsroom)
