“Everything that is right”, a new Phoenix series all about explosive criminal cases, is now available in the ARD media library and on the Phoenix website.

Many should remember the scandal surrounding weather presenter Jörg Kachelmann in 2010. But was it okay to put him in custody for four months? Why did Germany’s most spectacular art forger trial against Wolfgang Petracchi end with a so-called deal?

“Everything that is right”

The new Phoenix range “Everything that is right” deals with well-known German criminal law cases from the recent past in five episodes. Experts discuss important legal issues that are highly political – especially in view of the Corona crisis. You can now watch the series in the ARD media library look at. But also on the Phoenix website is it available.

Lawyers are used to finding answers to important questions in litigation. In pre-trial detention, for example, the question is what is more important – freedom or security? It must also be decided what matters more in investigations against celebrities – privacy protection or the public’s interest in information.

A question of proportionality

The new series also looks at the question of how to decide in berbal disputes. It’s all a question of weighing up and proportionality – but what does “proportionality” actually mean? That is also what the Phoenix series “Everything that is Right” should be about. In addition, the audience should also receive food for thought.

All episodes of the new documentary series “Everything that is right” are from now on Phoenix in the ARD media library as well as on Phoenix.de retrievable.

The consequences:

  1. Freedom or security?
  2. Personality or public?
  3. Efficiency or Thoroughness?
  4. Retaliation or improvement?
  5. Freedom of Expression or Insult?
