Starting this Wednesday, December 20, the Coronavirus vaccine will be available for purchase in the main pharmacy chains in the country.

The Pfizer company confirmed this exciting news through a statement, after the Federal Consumer Commission (Cofepris) authorized the sale and distribution of the Covid-19 vaccine, providing the opportunity to the general public to access this crucial vaccine.

Prices in commercial pharmacies that have a commercial link with pharmaceuticals will be around 850 pesos. However, the cost in private hospitals that have this service will be around 1,800 pesos on average.

Farmacias Guadalajara will sell the Pfizer vaccine against Covid19 for 999 pesos

The pharmacies that will have availability for purchase and application are: Guadalajara, Benavides, del Ahorro and San Pablo.

Regarding costs, Farmacias Guadalajara will sell it for 999 pesos, but they reported that they plan to start marketing it at the end of this month. While Farmacias Benavides so far has not given information about the cost it could have.

For her part, Yéssika Moreno, Pfizer representative in Latin America, pointed out in an interview with Radio Fómula that the vaccine was updated against sublineages of the Omicron variant, which include XBB1.5, XBB1.3, which are the variants that are circulating mostly worldwide, explained the expert.

The specialist also highlighted that if a person was vaccinated against Influenza, they can be vaccinated against Covid at the same time, “they can get both vaccines without any problem,” the representative emphasized.

The vaccine that will be marketed can be applied to people over 5 years of age and for adults, only the dose will vary according to the age of the user to be vaccinated.
