More than ninety percent of American teens use YouTube. Remote monitoring of three social apps. TikTok, Snapchat and Instagram are used by sixty percent.
New figures from Pew Research reveal the usage patterns of American teenagers between thirteen and seventeen. The poll was conducted last fall.
Facebook has completely fallen from grace. Only one in three still uses it, which puts it on par with, for example, Twitter, Reddit and Switch.
In terms of intensity of use, YouTube, TikTok and Snap are quite close to each other. This applies to teenagers in urban areas as well as in rural areas. Users in rural areas largely ignore more ‘obscure’ apps such as BeReal and Reddit.
