Sonos is still planning a headset. The manufacturer specializing in connected speakers has been working for a few years on headphones that we guess circum-aural (whose atria completely cover the esgourdes, like the AirPods Max) in view of the patent published last summer by the USPTO.
Sonos has reworked and refined the design of the product in a new patent filed with the German Office for the Protection of Intellectual Property. The main changes are the appearance of the Sonos brand on the headphones, while the rods enter directly into these headphones, again as on the AirPods Max. On one of the two sketches of the previous patent, this rod surrounded a quarter of the headphones.
The German patent also refers to an “adapter” whose function is unknown:
