Pastoral Advisor Irene Schneider has been working part-time as a pastor in the Catholic University Community of Schweinfurt since May 1, 2020. As reported by the press service of the Episcopal Ordinariate, Schneider comes from Bergtheim. She studied theology in Würzburg with a focus on pastoral psychology.
First as a pastoral assistant, from 1996 as a pastoral advisor, she was in Stockstadt until 1997. From 1996 to 1999 she was diocesan curator of the scout association Sankt Georg; until 2016 then as a mentor in the center for theology students and future pastoral speakers. From 2002 she was also responsible for the spiritual training and accompaniment of the deacons in the seminary, as well as for the pastoral course and pastoral assistants.
From 2015 to 2019, Schneider worked for the Congregation of the Redeemer Sisters in Würzburg in employee and team support. The pastoral consultant is also a trained Gestalt therapist and has been working part-time since 1995 as a companion for individuals and groups as well as a seminar leader, including in Münsterschwarzach.
