Sign the New Orleans Saints Tight End Foster Moreau for three years and $12 million, a source told Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Moreau announced in March that he was retiring from football after being diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma during a free agent visit with the Saints.

Moreau has been declared healthy and is expected to play this season, reports Schefter.

Moreau was selected in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL draft by the then-Oakland Raiders. He played in 61 games for the franchise before becoming a free agent this offseason. The 26-year-old has 91 receptions for 1,107 yards and caught 12 touchdowns in his career.

Despite the new town, Moreau will be catching passes from a familiar face. Former Raiders quarterback Derek Carr joined the Saints this offseason on a four-year, $150 million contract.

The Saints tight end room currently consists of Juwan Johnson, Miller Forristall, Lucas Krull and rookie Joel Wilson. Taysom Hill, the all-rounder, is also listed as a tight end on the team’s official website.

New Orleans has been very active in that position this offseason. The Saints added Moreau, signed Johnson to a two-year, $12 million contract, and traded Adam Trautman to the Denver Broncos.
