New Opel Grandland X 2021: first photos and information

After 4 years from the commercial launch in 2021 will be the time of restyling mid-career of the Opel Grandland X. The flagship SUV of the German brand will receive above all new aesthetics and technology. The Opel Grandland X will be revisited following its French cousin Peugeot 3008. The ones we used in the article are images that foreshadow renewal.

The new Opel Grandland X will have one exterior style which will resume the aesthetic standards launched on the newborn new Opel Mokka. So we will have touches especially in the front with a profile of the lights that will converge on the central grille. There will also be touches in the part of the bumper and the fog lights.

The headlights will adopt the technology Full LED in all versions, there will also be the possibility of optionally having LED matrix lights. For the interior the new Opel Grandland X will be equipped with new fully digitized instrumentation. The system of infotainment will be updated and connectivity possibilities with smartphones will be implemented. Unpublished colors and designs of the alloy wheels will be introduced.

At the level of engines almost nothing will change. There will be no fully electric version of the Opel Grandland X. The platform used for the car indeed it does not allow a complete electrification of the car. The engines currently in the range will be made more efficient. We will continue to have a petrol the 1.2 PureTech with 131 HP. The variant 1.2 s at 155 HP could be introduced.

Top of the petrol range is the 181 bhp 1.6. Always two variants ibride plug-in yes 225 and yes 300 CV. I diesel will be the 131 bhp 1.5 and the 177 bhp 2.0 also of PSA origin (of which Opel is part).

The new Opel Grandland X should be launched by mid-next year with sales between late summer and autumn 2021. The price list will remain in line with the current one with a starting price of around € 27,500 for petrol versions and around € 30,000 for diesel. The hybrids will cost between 43,500 and 50,000 euros.
