SKIEN / BEKKESTUA (VG) (Odd – Molde 1–3, Stabæk-Glimt 0–3) Molde ravaged Skien and inflicted Odd their fourth home loss in five games.

The elite series’ top scorer Ohi Omoijuanfo scored his 22nd goal of the season when Molde won 3-1 away against Odd.
Just after the end of the match, the message came that he had been taken out to the national team gathering next week, after both Fredrik Midtsjø and Joshua King had to report due.

– It is fun. I look forward. I’m looking forward to meeting the guys. It means a lot, that’s what you work for, says Omoijuanfo in a short comment to VG and other media after the match.
–Shortly after the match, Omoijuanfo was asked about a possible national team place.
– You always hope that you join. If it does not happen, then the world is exactly the same as when I got up this morning, Omoijuanfo told Discovery +.
A few minutes later the message came that he had been taken out, together with Julian Ryerson and Iver Fossum.
– It is very deserved. He has done very well. He has scored many goals, so it is deserved, says Molde’s Magnus Wolff Eikrem to VG.
The previous national team gathering was Erik Botheim who got the chance in the squad. The Bodø / Glimt striker scored one goal in Glimt’s 3-0 victory over Stabæk on Sunday, and was happy on behalf of Omoijuanfo after the match.
– If Ohi is involved, then it is very deserved. I think he is a very good player. I hope he can put some “boxes”, and make it so that Norway gets points, Botheim says to VG after his 12th goal of the season.
–Joshua King was injured just before the break in Watford’s game against Leeds on Saturday.
– We had a slight hope that the scan he performed would give us a positive answer. The answer we got was unfortunately that Joshua is not relevant for the upcoming national matches, says national team doctor Ola Sand.
Still the national team a little hope that Erling Braut Haaland can be ready.

The victory is Molde’s first away win in the Eliteserien since they beat Bodø / Glimt on 24 June.
– There is always a hustle and bustle around that type of thing. Then we have to admit that for a while we have not had the right balance in us on the away field. We have struggled a bit there after Aursnes left. I think we are taking a really good step forward, says Molde coach Erling Moe to Discovery +.
Eirik Ulland Andersen scored both the first and last goal of the match, while it was Conrad Wallem who scored Odd’s goal.
– Today I think we play a very good away game. We have good balance, good emphasis and we create a lot. Today I think we deserve the victory and make a very good match, says Moe.
Moe was supported by Odd coach Jan Frode Nornes.
