New normality: A Coruña authorizes terraces in parking spaces | Radio Coruña

Starting Wednesday, July 1, the llocal hospitality industry in A Coruña they will be able to install terraces in the parking spaces. The local government has approved the instruction to regulate these new regulations in those streets where terraces cannot be placed and in pedestrian areas, provided that a series of conditions are met.

The street may not have more than one lane in each direction, the sidewalk must be less than 2.5 meters, the space to occupy will be located in front of the premises and a platform with side protections.

The number of tables allowed will be limited to 80% of the total number of tables that appears in the authorization request. The safety distance 2 meters between tables in all cases and comply with the hygiene and prevention measures required by the health authorities.

The order will be in force until September 15, provided that the health authorities do not advise against it.

This initiative aims to allow businesses to maintain safe distances between tables on the terraces and support local hoteliers, one of the unions most affected by the health crisis.

The hospitality industry supports the measure
