Salgado de la Peña, director of the Tijuana International Airport.
“In addition, the strategic geographical location of the Tijuana airport, on the border with the United States, allows us to explore interesting connectivity options, such as this route to Las Vegas,” he added.
From January to September, the Tijuana airport registered 9.3 million passengers, of which 32% were international, authorities indicated.
The Secretary of Tourism of Baja California, Miguel Aguíñiga, stated that the new service “strengthens the connection of Baja California with one of the most visited destinations in the world.”
Nevada is the third largest source of American tourists to Baja California, after California and Arizona, he indicated.
“This flight facilitates the transit of visitors and contributes to the economy and tourism of our region, expanding experiences for our residents and those who choose Baja California as an entry point to Mexico.”
