Nintendo is constantly working on new technologies in its quiet closet and of course has them patented if necessary. Not every one of these patents turns into a finished product, but it is of course fun to speculate and record your career.
The new patent, which Nintendo holds at the Japanese Intellectual Property Office submitted has refers to one Stylus attachment for your Joy-Con. It looks like Nintendo has added a pull-out stylus to the Joy-Con wrist straps.
The stroke width of the touch pen can be changed at the push of a button – according to this sketch:
In addition, the Joy-Con should also provide feedback in the form of vibration when the tip of the touch pen touches an object in the game, as can be seen here:
For games like Super Mario Maker 2 or Dr. Kawashima’s brain jogging for Nintendo Switchwho are in handheld mode the Nintendo Switch benefiting from the use of a touchpen would certainly have been a good idea. What do you think?
