New naturalization plan announced in Saudi Arabia. The new project will create 170,000 jobs for natives in the private sector. The goal of the project is to reduce the unemployment rate in the country to 7%.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has announced a scheme called “Thouteen 2” which will create 1,70,000 private sector jobs. A report on employment opportunities and labor needs in each sector will be drawn up under the supervision of the Supervisory Bodies. The oversight committees consist of 6 ministries including tourism, commerce, transport and logistics services, health, municipal and rural affairs, housing, industry and mineral resources.
25,000 jobs will be created in the industrial sector, 20,000 in the health sector and 20,000 in the transport and logistics sector. In addition, the project aims to provide 20,000 jobs in the real estate and construction sector, 30,000 in the tourism sector, 15,000 in the commercial sector and 40,000 in other sectors. A program called the “Skills Accelerator and Training Program” was also launched to improve the professional skills of workers.
