“New National Immunization Plan to be Introduced in the Republic of Moldova”

The Republic of Moldova will soon have a new National Immunization Plan. The project, the sixth in the country’s history, is soon to be approved by the Cabinet of Ministers. This is just one of the novelties communicated by Nicolae Furtună, head of the Directorate for Prevention and Control of Communicable Diseases, within the ANSP, in an interview for AGORA. In the discussion we find out how receptive the population is to vaccinations today, we find out what diseases have been eliminated thanks to immunization, what effect the vaccine has years from now – the prevention of chronic diseases and cancer – and why “vaccines are victims of their own success”.
