6- It has a greater ability to spread compared to other variants, but its health risk is no greater than them.
7- It has one mutation in the spike protein that distinguishes it from BA.2.86 and makes it more capable of attacking cells.
8- It is believed that current vaccines produce antibodies to it, albeit to a lesser degree, but they may achieve immunity, even partial.
9- Its symptoms are similar to Covid 19 and its variants, and it is not yet known that it has different symptoms, and the symptoms depend on the immunity and general health of the infected person.
10 – Symptoms of infection with the new mutant are: – Fever, cough, shortness of breath, muscle pain, headache, loss of taste or/and smell, sore throat, congestion and/or runny nose.
11- The new mutant can be prevented by continuously disinfecting hands and surfaces, avoiding being in crowded places that are not well ventilated, and using masks if circumstances require.
