New Musical Camp arrives in Mexico – El Sol de Hermosillo

The businessman and producer Fabrizio Moreira, owner of the record label VIP Music Records, founder of the platform called Secret Hit Music and in charge of the realization of content and marketing for musicians and influencers, is heading for the first time in Mexico, a camp that will house new talents of musicians, producers and writers from around the country in one place.

In a short visit to the city of Nogales, Sonora, in the company of youtuber Jefferson Rescata, animal rescuer and the influence La Ranita de Nogales, special guests of Jesús Antonio Pujol Irastorza, municipal president of Nogales for the cultural week, the producer spoke with The Sun of Hermosillo about the next camp.

“We plan to develop a music camp where we hope to host young Mexicans accompanied by international talents, producers and music writers with whom applicants will have the opportunity to participate and gain experience,” he said.

Among the personalities that will be part of the team of instructors during the camp is one of the most important producers in the industry: Xtassy, ​​in charge of the production of Dance Kuduro of Don Omar, as well as the singer-songwriter Eli Palacio, composer of Limbo, The Temperature, Happy 4, among other successes.

“We have already had the opportunity to work with these greats of the music industry, we already have a record of working with them and that has allowed them to have the confidence that the work they do logically is for the good of both them and the team. ”Mentioned the businessman.

Mexico as a music market

Fabrizio explained that the project was born after the successful completion of the first camp in the Dominican Republic, to later expand to Colombia and Ecuador, ending up organizing a camp with BMI, one of the largest royalty collecting societies worldwide and the second largest in the United States, international camps that have made it possible to expand to Mexico.

“Our interest in Mexico is not only because it is one of the largest markets, but also because the Mexican region is having an international impact, there are members of Spotify who have given interviews on CNN mentioning that one of the genres with the most repercussion they will have in 2021 they are les ‘Mexitón’, a mixture of Mexican corridos with reggaeton, and there will also be a cultural change in regional music with other types of genres, “he said.

Despite the future trend of Mexican music, the producer pointed out that they will not be focused on a single musical style, but will be open to any genre.

A musical camp

The camp will be held in Mexico City on the second weekend of June for free and applications will be received from young people interested in professionalizing in the music industry, residents of any part of the country.

To take your request into account, applicants will have to send their own material or, failing that, compositions that they have created to the mail [email protected]. The call will close the last week of May.

Due to the health emergency that still affects the country, rapid tests for Covid-19 will be carried out before the camp and there will only be space for 21 selected.

The idea of ​​this camp is to create new musical rhythms and material for the artists Secret Hit works with: Juan Magán, Nio García, Casper Mágico among others.

The intention is to establish two or three annual camps in Mexico and invite different producers, writers and artists with the aim of supporting young Mexican talent.

“We want to let young people know that the camp is open, it does not have any cost, that if someone has the talent and does not have the capacity to go to CDMX, we can cover the costs, that is important to let them know, our goal is That talented boys have the opportunity, not only to work with us, but also with local producers who, seeing that we are giving them support, opens the doors more for them, which would not happen otherwise ”, concluded Fabrizio.
