New music and video projections: Schlosstheater Rheinsberg is transformed into a planetarium

The Rheinsberg Resident Ensemble for New Music invites you to a musical spaceflight at the Castle Theater on November 26th at 4pm. With the title “Journey into space”, next Saturday the palace theater will be transformed into a planetarium with the help of video projections and musical productions.

The Reactive Ensemble feat. OP:___ Duo, Rheinsberg-resident ensemble for new music 2023/24, lures once again with interactive sound experiences – this time on the subject of space: The “National Space Development Agency of Rheinsberg” has a group of four musicians in cooperation with SpaceX and NASA selected for their next space trip. After preparations on Earth with classical and experimental acoustic works, the ensemble takes off into a world of electronic music and encounters distant planets and stars.

The Reactive Ensemble feat. OP:___ Founded in 2012, Duo focuses on making art in dialogue with new technologies. Works by John Cage, Frederic Rzewski and Karlheinz Stockhausen, among others, can be heard at various audio stations in the palace theater and echoed through the loudspeaker distribution throughout the room. In addition to the video projections, there will be a visual installation for the audience and their mobile phones, so don’t forget your mobiles!
