The manhunt for a possible serial killer in Northern California continues and cases have increased.

The FBI is involved in the manhunt believed to be a serial killer in Stockton, California.
Now the police say the same killer can be linked to multiple cases.
Police Chief Joe Silva of Stockton Police says two new shooting incidents are now linked to the same perpetrator, one being in the city of Oakland.
– Our investigators look into the old cases they have and of course they check with other regional police stations to see if they have similar cases.
The first shooting ended in murder, when Juan Vasquez Serrano (39) was shot dead in April 2021. A few days later, a woman was shot dead in downtown Stockton , but she survived.
This then happened more than a year before the five murders the police are investigating and the shootings followed the same pattern as the five already known:
– The victims went alone. They are in unlit areas. It happens late at night or early in the morning, Silva said at a press conference Wednesday, according to NBC.
He points out that none of the victims have been robbed or stripped of property, none of them are linked to group crimes.
– It is an element of surprise, says Silva about the common characteristics.
Police yesterday released a photo taken from behind of a man dressed in dark clothes. The police stress that they do not know if it is a witness or the perpetrator, or if there could be more people involved.
A $ 95,000 reward was offered for information leading to an arrest.
