Starter Pokémon, new moves, and a completely new Tera type. All this in a new trailer for the DLC.
The Pokémon World Championships tournament in Yokohama is over, but not without The Pokémon Company dropping some news. A new item appeared for every game (except Pokémon Go) that had a tournament during Worlds. For example, some Pokémon Unite, Pokémon TCG, but also Pokémon Scarlet & Violet appeared.
After we already received some information during the Pokémon Presents, such as the release date of the first expansion, Worlds has revealed some additional information. This time with attention to the second set, The Indigo Disk. This should be out next winter.
For starters, all previous Starter Pokémon will reappear and be free to catch in this expansion. Additionally, it has been revealed that Paradox Raikou has been named Raging Bolt and is Electric/Dragon type. Paradox Cobaldion is called Iron Crown and is of Steel/Psychic type.
These two Pokémon both have a new move. For Raging Bolt that is Thunderclap, which is a priority move and attacks before the opponent can attack. For Iron Crown, it’s Tachyon Cutter which is guaranteed to hit twice in a row. Perfect for Pokémon like Mimikyu.
In addition to these two moves, Psychic Noise and Upper Hand have also been revealed. The first prevents an opponent from healing, the second will always be used first. So it will take precedence over priority moves.
Finally, the trailer teased a new form of Terastalizen. This Terastalize form can be used by any Pokémon and uses all types out there. It is possible that some Pokémon will take on a special shape as seen in the Terastal form of Terapagos that was previously revealed (seen in the featured image).
