The Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf 2024 is expecting a record number of participants with over 750 exhibitors. These are the most important trends and innovations.
The Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf is heading for a record in 2024: More than 750 exhibitors have announced that they will fill 16 exhibition halls including the outdoor area between August 30 and September 8. The organizers expect that more than 250,000 visitors will come to see the latest caravans, motorhomes and campervans as well as accessories, conversion parts, tents, mobile homes, holiday destinations and camping and motorhome pitches.
One topic that is also likely to shape the trade fair: prices. In a survey by the Caravaning Industry Association (CIVD), 80 percent of respondents said they play an important role in the purchase of a motorhome or caravan. In recent years, hardly a new motorhome was available for less than 50,000 euros. Now that is changing somewhat: the market is no longer booming as much as it was during the Corona period, and caravans in particular are seeing declines compared to the previous year. A large supply is meeting a cool demand, which could cause discounts to rise.
Another trend: vans and narrow semi-integrated vehicles that can also be used in everyday life. The topic of self-conversion also plays a role at the Caravan Salon 2024.
In addition, the first mobile homes from China are rolling onto the German market: after the car manufacturers from the Far East started first, Deddle RV is now following suit. In cooperation with the mobile home manufacturer and importer La Marca, five models are to be available in Germany, including at least two models with alcoves – all of which have combustion engines.
These are the most exciting new features (continuously expanded):
Due to their shape and dimensions, they offer a package suitable for everyday use – even if the larger models already exceed the six-meter mark. Here is a selection of the new products:
