WB Games today presented the new installment of the Mortal Kombat series. Ever since the release of the recent teaser, there has been talk that the entire brand could be rebooted, which today’s announcement confirmed.
The new Mortal Kombat is a reboot of the series with the simple name Mortal Kombat 1. Following the example of several previous installments, the game is being developed in the NetherRealm studio. In addition to the above attached trailer the developers also released the exact release date which was set for September 19. The game will be released on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch on this day.
Starting tomorrow, pre-orders will go live, giving you an exclusive playable character named Shang Tsung and access to the upcoming closed beta. It will only be available on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.
