Capcom has released three new trailers for Monster Hunter Wilds, giving an overview of Focus Mode, key mechanics, and the Great Sword. These trailers also show the graphics of the game that runs on the RE Engine.
In Monster Hunter Wilds, hunters will have two weapon states: stowed and unholstered. In the armed mode, you can run faster and use things. In drawn mode, movement is limited, but you can fight enemies – obviously.
Players will be able to use the Seikrate as a means of transportation. This is a creature that can be mounted at any time. It can automatically take you to the right monster for the current task. While on horseback, you can restore health, sharpen weapons, collect items and useful items, or change your primary and secondary weapons.
Players will also have access to a Slinger and a Hooker. The Slinger allows you to shoot different types of weapons that can be collected from the environment. Hooker allows you to collect items from a distance or interact with the environment.
Focus mode will add a new layer to the hunt. Players will be able to target attacks or defenses and deal damage in addition to wounds dealt in this mode. Focused strikes allow you to deliver special attacks with high damage to wounds and weak spots.
Capcom plans to release Monster Hunter Wilds in 2025.
