New Monkey Island is released this year – developed by the original creators

The classic point-and-click adventure game series Monkey Island returns this year with a new adventure, Return to Monkey Island.

The design itself is by Ron Gilbert and David Grossman, who are behind the very first game, Secret of Monkey Island, and its sequel Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge.

As if that were not enough, Return to Monkey Island will take place immediately after the events of the first two games and largely ignore those that came after.

Return to Monkey Island is developed by Ron Gilbert’s Terrible Toybox in collaboration with Devolver Digital and Lucasfilm Games.
