New Minister, Chen Sylvestre Mezui M’Obiang presented to Woleu nationals residing in Libreville – AGP

LIBREVILLE, May 11 (AGP)-The new Minister of Mines and Geology, Chen Sylvestre Mezui M’Obiang, was presented this Thursday, May 11, 2023 to nationals of the Woleu department where he is from, by the Minister of Health and Social Affairs, Dr. Guy-Patrick Obiang Ndong, another son of the land, minister for a little longer. It was during a meeting organized in the auditorium of the Ministry of Water and Forests, in Libreville.

This politically-tinged meeting was an opportunity for Guy-Patrick Obiang Ndong to salute the trust and honor shown in the department of Woleu by the Head of State Ali Bongo Ondimba, through the promotion of another of his son at the head of an important ministry.

Continuing his remarks, Mr. Obiang Ndong called on all sides for unity behind those promoted to the Government. This implies the need to be grateful to the Head of State, through a favorable vote on the evening of the presidential election of 2023.

The two members of the Government have indicated that they will work together for the development of the department of Woleu.

Speaking next, and after recalling his Oyem origins, Chen Sylvestre Mezui M’Obiang hopes to meet the expectations of President Ali Bongo Ondimba in promoting industrial Gabon. He promised to get down, like his predecessors, to work for the reinforcement of the unity of the sons and daughters of the department of Woleu and the commune of Oyem.

The native of Oyem then promised to express himself better when he finds himself in the land of his ancestors this weekend, during his official presentation, in the presence of the Minister of Health, MPs, senior officials, and local notables.

The sons and daughters of the Woleu department responded massively to the presentation ceremony of the new Minister of Mines.

At the end of these first reunions, it was decided that a schedule of meetings between the two members of the Government and the nationals of Woleu will be defined, in order to discuss the problems which hinder the development and the cohesion of the city of Oyem. But also, to prepare to face the next elections. The aim is to ensure a clear victory for the Distinguished President of the Gabonese Democratic Party (PDG), Ali Bongo Ondimba.

The appointment of Chen Sylvestre Mezui M’Obiang is a concrete expression of the youth empowerment policy dear to the Head of State Ali Bongo Ondimba. This trained geologist completed all his classes at the Ministry of Mines, at the head of which he was promoted during the government reshuffle of April 27th.
