Due to high inflation (according to the latest GUS data, inflation was above 17 percent in September), there will be not one but two hikes – and not a small one at all. How much will the minimum wage be in Poland after the first and second increases in 2023? When will the minimum wage be changed? You can read the details on this below.
In accordance with the law on the minimum wage for work, if the total CPI forecast for next year is at least 105%. – there are two dates for changing the minimum wage and the minimum hourly wage: from 1 January and from 1 July.
According to the regulation already published, from 1 January 2023 the minimum wage will increase to 3,490 PLN and from 1 July next year to 3,600 PLN. In July next year, the minimum wage will be PLN 590 higher than the minimum wage for the current year.

At the same time, the minimum hourly rate in 2023 will increase to PLN 22.80 from January 1st and PLN 23.50 from July 1st, respectively. The rate in July next year will therefore be PLN 3.80 higher than in 2022.
