The City Council of Santa Cruz de Tenerife has proceeded to update the conditions of use of municipal sports facilities to face the health crisis caused by COVID-19 with the result of the agreement of the Government of the Canary Islands on September 16 that decided that the island of Tenerife passed to Alert Level 2.
In the first place, it is determined that the uncovered sports fields will remain open, with the exception of those listed below, which will remain closed from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.: Sports facilities attached to Casa Pisaca; Sports fields on Calle Lorenzo Tolosa (behind CEIP La Salud); Sports fields located on Cercado Corazón Avenue (Parque Santa Catalina). The use of the rest of the facilities will not be allowed from 10 pm to 6 am.
In the same way, the use of Skate Park and calisthenics facilities is allowed. Maintaining the interpersonal safety distance of 2 meters at all times. It is also stressed that the use of all sports spaces must be carried out according to the limitations set out below: Training and professional and federated sports competition at national and international level, may be carried out according to what is stated in the protocol of their respective federations.
National friendly matches may be held without the presence of the public. Sports practice (not including professional and national federated) may take place in the activity rooms
In any case, the mask will be mandatory and the safety distance of 2 meters must be maintained (The maximum capacity will be 50%). In squash courts the mask will be mandatory and with a maximum of 2 people per court. On tennis courts, the use of a mask will also be mandatory when there are more than 2 users on the court. If there are two users (1/1) on the track, it will not be necessary to use the mask as long as the distance of two meters is maintained. It is also remembered that the attendance of the public is not allowed, only allowing persons accompanying minors (maximum of 2 people per minor).
In the open sports fields, and for non-federated sports, the mask will be mandatory and with a maximum of 8 people simultaneously. 75% of the sports capacity will not be exceeded in each of the spaces.
Federated sport: The mask will be mandatory and capacity of 48 athletes in the entire facility, during the competition the attendance of the public is allowed at 75% of the capacity. During the training sessions and the celebration of friendly encounters, only the presence of persons accompanying minors (maximum of 2 persons per minor) will be allowed, maintaining all prevention and protection measures, especially a mask at all times and guaranteeing the distance from interpersonal security of at least 1.5 m.
For its part, in covered sports centers a maximum of 36 athletes are allowed throughout the facility with the same rule of mandatory use of a mask at all times. In the case of changing rooms, these will remain closed except for functional diversity and exceptions.
In federated sport, the public is allowed to attend 50% of the capacity during the official competition.
In the Ana Bautista Pavilion a maximum of 12 people per tapestry will be allowed, while in the covered swimming pools of public ownership of the municipality with free use there will be a maximum of 6 people per street and 8 in a rehabilitating glass, being able to determine, by the staff of the installation of fewer users per street, depending on the swimming conditions, trying to maintain the distance of 2 meters that will be mandatory during breaks. In the case of authorized sports clubs, a maximum of 8 people per street may go in groups and the changing rooms will remain open to the free user and functional diversity in federated sport, not allowing the attendance of the public. For the Acidalio Lorenzo pool, in the case of free users there will be a maximum of 8 people per street in a 50-meter glass and 6 people in a 25m glass. In a rehabilitation vessel, a maximum of 12 people, being able to determine a smaller number of users per street by the staff of the facility. In the same facility and for federated sport, a maximum of 8 people per street may go in groups, both in 50 and 25 meters.
In Water polo and Artistic Swimming, training is authorized trying to maintain an interpersonal distance of 2 meters. The changing rooms will remain open to the free user and functional diversity in federated sport. During the competition, the attendance of the public is allowed at 75% capacity. During the training sessions and the celebration of friendly encounters, only the presence of persons accompanying minors (maximum of 2 persons per minor) will be allowed, maintaining all prevention and protection measures, especially a mask at all times and guaranteeing the distance from interpersonal security of at least 1.5 meters.
In the soccer fields, in the practice of federated sport of regional and insular scope, a maximum of 66 athletes is allowed for soccer fields 11, while it is restricted to 36 athletes for soccer fields 8. In these municipal facilities it is allowed the attendance of the public at 75% capacity during the official competition, while during the training sessions and the holding of friendly matches, only the presence of persons accompanying minors (maximum of 2 persons per minor) will be allowed, keeping all prevention and protection measures, especially a mask at all times and guaranteeing an interpersonal safety distance of at least 1.5 meters. In all cases, the prohibition of eating, drinking and smoking by companions in stands, or in spaces that are not enabled for this purpose, remains in force. The changing rooms will remain closed except for functional diversity and exceptions. In addition, clubs and entities are reminded of compliance with the following general measures:
a) The hours of use of the authorized sports facility will be strictly adhered to; It is mandatory to access the sports facilities, as well as leave them, with due punctuality.
b) The sports entity is responsible for organizing its work groups, as well as for complying with the capacity standards that in each case are determined by the competent authority in the health and / or sports field.
c) Each entity must be provided with the corresponding prevention elements (thermometers, hydroalcoholic gel, disinfectant liquid, etc.) and an accredited representative of the entity must take the temperature of the athletes before the start of training and always with character prior to access to the place of practice.
d) The spaces and circuits of access and exit to / from the sports facility that are marked or, where appropriate, those determined in each case by the staff of this City Council will be respected.
e) To access the sports facility, athletes (including technical and managerial staff) will be adequately equipped, their footwear must be changed before entering the training area in the marked spaces or, where appropriate, in those indicated by the staff of this City Council. The mask will be mandatory at all times.
f) The material carried by each user (athletes, technical and managerial staff), such as backpacks, sports bags or any other will be deposited in the spaces that, for this purpose, delimit each entity, taking into account that they must keep, at least a distance of two (2) meters between them.
g) At the end of each sporting practice, each authorized entity will be responsible for the cleaning and disinfection of each and every one of the equipment for common use (benches, scorers’ tables, goals and any other elements that may or may be used by other teams or stable groups). Failure to comply with this obligation must be reported to the Sports Service both by municipal staff and by the next user entity, and, where appropriate, the defaulting entity will receive the damages that may arise.
All these measures have been in force since last September 16 and until their suspension is expressly agreed.
