Chemnitz.
The future department head of the city of Chemnitz for education, social affairs, youth, culture and sport, Dagmar Ruscheinsky, will take up office on February 1st. The town hall announced that she received her certificate of appointment from Mayor Sven Schulze on Monday. Ruscheinsky was elected mayor by the city council in November. She succeeds Ralph Burghart, who was elected as the new chamberlain months earlier. Dagmar Ruscheinsky is 63 years old, married and worked in Chemnitz until 2015. Most recently she headed the management team at the Federal Office for Building and Regional Planning in Berlin. (micm)
