And ten! It took almost 18 months of work before the new establishment of the Mama Shelter brand was inaugurated on Thursday July 27, in Dijon (Côte-d’Or), after being established in nine other cities in France.
Located rue du Docteur Maret, the hotel took place in the former building of the health insurance fund, “A large glass box, bright, six minutes walk from the station, in the heart of the city”, explains Benjamin El Doghaïli, architect at the head of the Mama Shelter design studio, in a press release.
5,000m2 of space and 120 rooms
The hotel is adjacent to Saint-Bénigne Cathedral. Half of its 120 rooms also offer a breathtaking view of the Gothic-style building dating from the 13th century. The 5,000 m2 building also houses a cinema room that can accommodate 28 people, workspaces, two karaoke rooms, as well as a petanque court.
It also has a restaurant that can serve up to 200 people simultaneously, as well as a bar, where a DJ will liven up the evenings from Thursday to Sunday. In order to best welcome customers and run its different areas, the Mama Shelter has recruited 77 people.
Practical information: the price of the rooms can vary from 99€ to 170€ depending on the date and the period of reservation.
