A generally well-informed source reports this MacRumors. Earlier it leaked out that new MacBooks are planned for it second quarter of this year.
The source did not provide further details about the new MacBook Air. According to previous reports, the laptop gets a new keyboard with scissors system, as was also seen in the recently released MacBook Pro with 16-inch screen.
Apple used a special butterfly system for the keyboard for years. This eventually led to criticism from users: dirt was easily stuck under keys, which could suddenly make them unusable.
Slightly larger screen
The screen should also be slightly larger. In terms of size, the MacBook Air would be the same as the previous edition, but due to thinner edges, there is room for a 14-inch screen.
It would be remarkable if Apple already presents the new MacBook Air in the week of March 16. Many factories are closed in China, because the coronavirus does not allow personnel to come to work just like that. However, analyst Ming-chi Kuo thinks Apple won’t be bothered by this.
