The Lexus UX crossover is the third most popular car of the Japanese brand on the Czech market after the RX and NX models. This follows from data from the Association of Automobile Importers for the first eleven months of this year. Now the UX arrives in the new 300h variant, which replaces the previous 250h and fundamentally improves the overall parameters.
The heart of this drive is still a two-liter four-cylinder, but it now cooperates with a completely new hybrid system of the fifth generation. It has, for example, more powerful electric motors, which also increases the system’s system power – from the original 181 to the current 196 horsepower.
It seems like a minor innovation, but the “three-hundredth” with front-wheel drive improves the acceleration from zero to a hundred by four tenths to the current 8 seconds. However, there are more innovations, for example, the nickel-metal hydride battery is replaced by a lithium-ion system. And now there is also an automatic transmission with shift-by-wire technology, which means faster and smoother shifting.

A bigger screen in the middle, but also new buttons and decorations. There are many changes in the cabin after the facelift.
Also new is the brown Copper Crest paintwork known from the larger Lexus RX. Inside, we can notice a slightly revised cabin with chrome elements as well as modernized buttons. The standard variants retain the seven-inch screen of the multimedia system, but the higher-end models upgrade from the original 8-inch display to a 12.3-inch touchscreen.
In the constellation of innovations, we can also find, for example, an electrically controlled trunk lid, which you can now open by moving your foot under the bumper. The current set of safety and assistance systems labeled 2.5 has improved to 3.0, it not only has adaptive cruise control, lane keeping, a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, but now also proactive driving assistant or traffic sign assistant.

From the outside, the Lexus UX remains largely the same as its predecessor. The rejuvenated technology is from the 2025 model year, but the novelty should appear on the road sometime next year. Until then, the Czech representative office will certainly tell us the complete price list.
