Aside from the bargain madness currently taking place at Amazon, Media Markt and Alternate, there is also exciting news for LEGO Star Wars fans for the coming year: In April 2025, a new version of the LEGO Star Wars Character Encyclopedia will be released with an exclusive, new minifigure by Emperor Palpatine.
The cover is included Amazon not yet listed, but other dealers such as WHSmith from England has already posted what appears to be the final cover of the LEGO Star Wars Character Encyclopedia online, so we now have the first pictures of the book from DK Verlag and of course the Palpatine minifigure for you.

Exklusive Imperator Palpatine Minifigur
It has been known for some time that a new edition of the book will be published, and about two months ago you could find out about it on the LEGO Ideas platform votewhich minifigure will make it onto the cover. However, for many fans, the choice of the exclusively included minifigure is of course much more important than the cover of the book. Because that’s the outfit that the resurrected Emperor wears Star Wars Episode IX – Rise of Skywalker carries.
Even if the film itself is certainly not a fan favorite, the character design in the film was already convincing, so that the Sinistre Sith Lord also looks good in the LEGO version with red color accents (in the truest sense of the word). might.
LEGO Star Wars Character Encyclopedia 2025
The “LEGO Star Wars Character Encyclopedia” is usually known in this country as the “Encyclopedia of Minifigures” and will probably also appear as a German-language book. However, there is currently no pre-order option for the German book, so so far only the English-language version with a minifigure can be pre-ordered, which, according to Amazon, will be available on 17. April 2025 should appear.

The final iteration of the “Lexikon of Minifigures” was released in 2020 and had a Stormtrooper on the cover and an exclusive Darth Maul minifigure included. The lexicon of minifigures is not the same “Lexicon of figures, spaceships and droids” to be confused, which has already undergone an update this year and also included a Darth Maul minifigure – albeit with an anniversary print on the back.

The lexicon of minifigures is by no means exhaustive, but according to the company it will contain more than 200 minifigures from the LEGO Star Wars galaxy, which come from both the films and the TV series. If you want a complete overview of all Star Wars minifigures, you can’t avoid databases like BrickLink, but you can certainly browse through and find out a little more about the characters in a physical book.
