Whatsapp is rolling out new privacy features. The last seen feature can now be applied separately for individuals.
The world’s most popular instant messaging app WhatsAppwill offer its users more detailed privacy features.
The messaging application, which has approximately 1.6 billion users worldwide, will launch a new feature.
Currently, people can arrange not to share their last seen information. In this case, other people’s last seen information is also not shown.
WhatsApp tests new last seen feature
While hiding features such as profile photos, information about and last seen in the application; ““Everybody”, “my contacts” or “NobodyOptions such as ” can be selected.
In the new ‘last seen’ feature being tested, users can select the ‘Last Seen’ option in the privacy setting, in addition to ‘Everyone’, ‘My Contacts’ and ‘Nobody’. “My Contacts Except” option is coming.
In short, the last seen feature can now be activated only for certain people. WhatsApp is reportedly aiming to implement the same option for a user’s “profile picture” and “about” information.
The feature, which was introduced on Android a few weeks ago, can also be tested by beta testers on iOS.
