There has been a lot of talk in the last few hours about what was announced by the well-known Chinese manufacturer of electric vehicles Xpeng who revealed that it might soon increase the vehicle’s range by 869 miles. To be more precise, Xpeng recently presented a gas-powered range extender, the Around Super Electric System.
It is very important to underline that the long-range electric propulsion system of this company allows you to travel 430 km in electric mode while the kilometers can become 1,400 if both petrol and the battery are used. The well-known Chinese car manufacturer Xpeng usually uses EV batteries whose dimensions are standard.
What’s new at Xpeng
Different ones news expected at Xpeng. Specifically speaking of range extenders, it is worth underlining that these combine large batteries with the convenience offered by a quick refueling. But the Chinese company seems to be willing to add, in order to extend battery life up to 30%, also an AI Battery Doctor obviously equipped with AI functions that are managed exactly by a 40-core processor.
This would be great news as, according to what was reported by Xpeng, its fast charging capacity could reach 960 kW, thus managing to provide approximately 1 km of autonomy per second. Thanks to the 800 volt system therefore in only about 12 minutes and using an obviously car-compatible water-cooled battery charger it could reach 80% charge.
