New Jersey’s family-friendly hayride event descends into chaos after hundreds of teens cause chaos: Police

“The event quickly came to a halt as fights broke out and disorderly behavior occurred mainly between arriving youths,” the department said.

Authorities said the out-of-control behavior began shortly after 8:20pm on October 19 when the young men “ran recklessly into the crowd and lined up for a hayride.”

Police said they dispersed the unruly children “to ensure the safety of families attending the event.”

However, the police decided that there was no way to safely continue the hayride event and closed it down. Halloween event download.

But the night wasn’t over for the wild teens. Police said 50 to 70 youths took over a local gas station, Wawa.

“While officers were dispersing the crowd at the park, they received a report of an incident at the Wawa on Haddon Avenue where a group of 50 to 70 juveniles had occupied the store,” police said. “Officers were able to assist Wawa in dispersing a group of youth who were stealing property and causing a disturbance.”

Police also said the Wawa was closed to prevent further damage.

Police said chaos continued through residential yards.

When officers arrived Police said they found a large group of about 80 youths fighting in the park and were met with resistance from the youths, who continued to fight, punching, kicking and pushing officers. Some young people started by breaking away from the main group. “It’s running through the backyard of a nearby residence.”

Police eventually dispersed the crowd and restored order. They did not make any arrests, the department said.

“The evening was more than we expected,” event staff for the Collingswood Haunted Hayride event said in a Facebook post.

“Unfortunately, as everyone saw and realized, many of the evenings turned out to be more than expected. “But based on feedback and awareness, we will review and organize to determine how to move forward next year.” Hayride wrote on Facebook. “Thank you for your support, without which our event would not have been possible.”
