Swiss hockey defender Jonas Siegenthaler moved from the Washington Capitals to the New Jersey Devils as part of an exchange in the NHL. Capitals won a conditional selection for him in the 3rd round of the 2021 draft.

For the 23-year-old Siegenthaler, this is the first change of activity within the profiliga. Capitals drafted it in 2015, making his NHL debut in the 2018/2019 season. So far, he has played a total of 108 matches in which he scored 13 Canadian points, 57 penalty minutes and 7 plus points in the statistics.

Washington won a contingent draft pick for him, which the Devils had previously received from Arizona in the exchange of Taylor Hall in December 2019. If Arizona’s pick from the third round of draft 2021 is not transferred to New Jersey, New Jersey will instead exchange its own third-round pick to Washington.
