The players of the Carolina Hurricanes won the first game of the semifinals of the Eastern Conference of the NHL over the New Jersey Devils. “Devils” started the second series in the same way as the first – with a 1:5 loss.

Currently the most experienced and productive Slovak forward in the NHL Tomas Tatar did not follow up on the previous meeting, in which he ended a six-game drought without a point match, and came out empty-handed from this season’s eighth duel in the playoffs. In the match, he appeared in action on the wing of the first attack alongside team captain Nic Hischier and Jesper Bratt. He spent a total of 14:46 minutes on the ice, of which 28 seconds were in power plays. In addition to one “minus” in the +/- points statistics, he also scored 1 shot on goal and gave away 1 point.
