New Jersey has been ranked as one of the best states for businesses to find workers. Which, according to a study conducted by Career Cloud, was in 12th place in the ranking.

Career Cloud found that New Jersey has the fourth highest percentage of adults with college degrees. It also has the fourth lowest job posting rate in the United States and ranks sixth for best diversity among job applicants and number 39 for best inflow of talent.

It is currently not easy for companies to hire workers. It should be recalled that the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reported Oct. 4 that there were 10.7 million job vacancies in the United States, while unemployment was at 3.7%.

One of the main reasons it’s now harder for companies to hire workers is the big waiver.which is the name given to the economic phenomenon in which a large number of workers in the United States have quit their jobs since the spring of 2021, while there is high demand for jobs and low unemployment.

So to attract more workforce, companies are now increasing wages and benefits. Yet despite these efforts, one in five working adults are actively looking for a new job, according to a Morning Consult survey.

Going back to the Career Cloud study, it found that the top 10 states for hiring are:

1.Florida
2.Washington
3. Delaware
4. Nevada
5. Arizona
6. North Carolina
7.Texas
8. Utah
9. New Hampshire
10. Colorado

The study found that the worst states for hiring workers were West Virginia, Ohio, Louisiana, Kentucky, Rhode Island and North Dakota..

To arrive at these results, Career Cloud ranked states by corporate tax breaks, population growth, education levels, diversity, and vacancy rate.

After used an average of how each state ranked on those factors to determine an overall score.
