NASA and US President Joe Biden reveal the first color images of telescopic head James Webb (James Webb Space Telescope/JWST). This is the first time JWST has shown an early picture of nature after 14 years of development and six months of calibration.
JWST is a successor to the Hubble telescope which has served for approximately 30 years. The Hubble satellite was launched in 1990 and has captured many images of the universe, from stars, galaxies, to other space objects.
According to NASA, JWST is intended to provide new information about the universe. Because, this telescope has a larger observatory space.
In addition, according to NASA, the capabilities of the two telescopes are different. Hubble captures images using optical and ultraviolet wavelengths, while telescope JWST using infrared.
JWSWT is also said to have a much larger mirror than Hubble. With a larger light-gathering area, JWST is able to peer further into the past than Hubble is capable of.
Therefore, the results from the recently released James Webb telescope show a more detailed image quality than its predecessor. This can be seen from the photos of each of the telescopes.
Quoted from PetaPixelWednesday (13/7/2022), one of the objects captured by the two telescopes was Stephan’s Quintet or known as Hickson Compact Group 92. This galaxy is located in the constellation Pegasus and is about 290 million light years away.

Another photo that also attracts attention is the Carina Nebula. This nebula is known to be one of the largest and brightest, so it can be seen in the night sky.
The nebula is located about 7,600 light-years from the southern constellation Carina. Hubble Telescope himself is known to have taken quite a few photos of the Carina Nebula and some that look quite similar to those captured by JWST.
