From the beginning of 2024, a coalition of Western countries will operate in France to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was stated by Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Ivan Gavrilyuk.
“The new international coalition to support Ukraine – artillery – will begin work in January 2024 in Paris,” the telegram channel of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense reports Gavrilyuk’s statement. The Ukrainian official does not provide a list of countries that will be included in the new association.
Gavrilyuk also said that Ukraine will continue to purchase French Caesar howitzers. In 2024, it is planned to test these installations in combination with artificial intelligence.
Great Britain and Norway created a new maritime coalition to support Kyiv. It will supply ships and vehicles to strengthen Ukraine’s maritime capabilities. Previously, Britain had already sent Ukraine two mine ships to strengthen the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Black Sea.
