New Injection Shows Promise in Fighting Cancer: Similar to Flu Attack

Scientists have come up with a new injection that can fight cancer in the same way as the flu. The injection can help the body fight cancer with the same force it attacks the flu.

According to the British newspaper Daily Mail, it has long been frustrating for doctors to prepare the body to fight cancer like it attacks the flu.

The newspaper said that by studying mice with melanoma skin cancer, scientists discovered that tumors not only deceive surrounding immune cells so that they do not realize how dangerous they are, but also lymph nodes – an important part of the immune system.

They injected mice with an artificial genetic code, like that seen in the influenza virus, that made the cancer appear dangerous, and the lymph nodes reacted more strongly.

Dr Roberts, who led the study from Cancer Research UK in Scotland and the University of Glasgow, said: “These lymph nodes play an important role in fighting cancer, but at the moment they are responding to it as if it were a small piece in the body.”

He added: “By making cancer look more like the flu, we can make the lymph nodes respond more strongly.” The cells that alert the immune system to dangers are called dendritic cells. They “eat” part of the tumor to show it to the immune cells that should fight it, which are called T cells, but stem cells carry a misleading message that tumors are relatively harmless.

The newspaper said, the researchers realized that the stem cells were carrying messages about tumors to the lymph nodes after dyeing the proteins in the tumors bright green and seeing parts of them appear in the nodes. The study, published in the journal Science Immunology, raises hopes that a similar injection could It helps human cancer patients fight the disease, although more research is needed.

Dr. Catherine Elliott, Director of Research at… Cancer Research Centre In the UK, “this exciting research could help us find ways to help our bodies fight cancer more aggressively.”
