New revelations on the situation of the child exchange that has shaken the country. The director of the AG hospital in the capital “Sheynovo” announced that newborns were exchanged immediately after birth, even when they were first given to their mothers.
All institutions are standing, a large-scale inspection is underway, and the first data indicate that no one paid attention to the confusion, including in the discharge of women in labor.
It has already been conclusively proven which child belongs to which family.
The first in front of NOVA’s camera was Dr. Uzunova, the doctor who first understood what had happened and for the first time in her twenty-year experience had to unravel a similar case.

In early December, Dr. Uzunova received a phone call from a concerned mother. The mother suspected that the child she had been caring for for more than two months was not her child.
“I received a call from a patient, an extremely kind and polite woman, seeking help.
He picks up the two bracelets and only now sees different numbers. And I found the other patient with the number on this bracelet,” said Dr. Donka Uzunova, head of the neonatology department at Sheynovo.
The doctor immediately informs the hospital management that it is possible that two women in labor have returned home – with other people’s children. She goes alone to the house of her other mother, Sevda Mihailova.

“The girl invited me in, I saw the little girl, I saw the older son, I saw the conditions inside. I saw how she took care of him. She went into a defensive reaction, she told me that according to her it was not possible, and initially she expressed a desire to come for a test, after which we had no further contact,” added the doctor.
Yesterday, even before the DNA test results became clear, Sevda Mihailova stood in front of the NOVA camera and declared that there were no errors in her bracelets. However, after the hospital inspection and according to data from the prosecutor’s office, the exact opposite is clear. Whose fault is it? This is not clear yet.
The director of the “Sheynovo” hospital, Dr. Rumen Velev, admitted that the mistake was made by a person and called it “unacceptable”.

Dr. Velev sees serious gaps, which, according to him, were made by everyone in the chain.
“During the whole stay, none of the mothers paid attention to the exchange of the bracelets. It is extremely disturbing that the two bracelets were not matched during the discharge, which is in our protocols,” Velev said.
‘When we put bracelets on children, we are at least 3 people, we don’t work alone. That’s why we need the investigative bodies,’ said Dr Uzunova.
If procedural violations are found, the hospital director has said he is ready to resign.
