The act of violence that took place in Turku’s Perno on Friday evening is being investigated as attempted murder, confirms the on-duty head of the investigation, the crime commissioner Tuomas Kuure.

The Southwestern Finland police announced on Friday that three people received serious injuries caused by a bladed weapon in the incident.

– Of the injured, one is a suspect and two are related parties. The suspect’s injuries are not suspected to be related to a crime, says Kuure.

According to Kuure, none of the three injured are currently in danger of life.

Kuure adds that all the injured are adults. Their age or gender is not yet known at this stage of the investigation.

Also, it is not yet possible to tell the bladed weapon used in the act, the way it was done, or the relationships between the persons.

According to Kuure, the arrest of the suspect went smoothly on Friday. The act of violence happened at six o’clock in the evening in front of a shop on Hyrköistentie.
