New Indonesian League PT (LIB) roll out Club Owner Meeting Liga 2 2023/2024. Following are the results of the meeting.
The event took place at the Sultan Hotel, Central Jakarta, Thursday (20/7/2023). All club representatives from League 2 attended the Club Owner Meeting.
The director of PT LIB, Ferry Paulus, explained that Liga 2 would start in early September 2023. Ferry also emphasized that all clubs agreed to use foreign players.
“Today we have a meeting of League 2 club owners. Several points were conveyed to the club owners. We set the kick-off for early September, the 8th at the latest,” Ferry said in a press conference.
“Foreign players are a must. All the clubs who have doubted whether foreigners will exist or not, today one of the agreements the clubs want to have foreigners.”
Ferry Paulus also explained that after this there would be a follow-up meeting with the League 2 clubs. PT LIB said it wanted to contribute IDR 1.250 billion to each club, but there was no agreement yet.
“What is still unclear is the matter of contribution. The calculations are not yet clear. There will be another meeting, as well as finalizing the delivery of the schedule. As well as the permit process for each club in their respective stadiums,” Ferry explained.
League 2 clubs actually hope to get a contribution of IDR 2 billion. In the previous season, each League 2 club only received IDR 800 million.
