The Culture Commission organized a successful film evening last Saturday evening. The highlight was the showing of the new image film about the municipality of Unteriberg. Impressive aerial drone footage shows the Ybrig from its best side.
The film evening started with an aperitif in the foyer of the Baumeli multi-purpose building. Around 220 expectant visitors were entertained by the members of the Unteriberg Cultural Commission. After an hour, the lively crowd moved into the hall, where they were welcomed by the President of the Culture Commission, Werner Fässler. The audience was mesmerized by the aerial footage. Philipp Trütsch then explained how the new film was made and introduced the local film team. Edgar Holdener and Philipp Trütsch wrote the screenplay and text. The camera and drone shots were taken by Thomas Fässler and Iwan Marty. Karl Imhof provided images of the native golden eagle.
For around eight minutes, the audience was spellbound by the footage from the air, suitably underscored by the natural jutz of the Unteriberg traditional costume yodelling group. Carmen Bisig skilfully comments on the varied and up-to-date sequences. The filmmakers were rewarded with a round of applause.
Two short films by Kurt Fässler were shown The film evening continued with two short films by Kurt Fässler about wood processing on the cart floor saw. The lively pictures from the years 1965 and 1980 let bygone times come alive and elicited some laughs or comments from the audience.
The new film is currently only available to organizers and clubs at the Unteriberg Municipal Office. Later it will be made available on the Internet.
