New Hyundai Solaris for Russia introduced

The South Korean company Hyundai introduced the updated Solaris sedan for Russia. The automaker has published official photos of the car. A full presentation of the machine will be held in St. Petersburg on February 18.

Judging by the pictures, the restyled Hyundai Solaris is similar to the “sister” Verna model for China, shown last fall. At the same time, the model for the Russian market has other grille, front bumper and headlights. LED optics will be available to customers as an option.

According to Autonews, unlike the Chinese specification, Hyundai Solaris for Russia will not have a fully digital dashboard. It is assumed that the novelty will have airflow deflectors for rear passengers, an electric side mirror, a navigator from Yandex, additional USB sockets and a wireless charging station for the smartphone. The most expensive trim levels are expected to get leather trim. No detailed engine information yet.

The first pictures of the new Hyundai Solaris for Russia appeared in December 2019. Then it was reported that new models in test mode have already begun to be assembled at a plant in St. Petersburg.

Last year, 58.6 thousand Hyundai Solaris cars were sold in Russia. Sales decreased by 10.5% compared to 2018. Solaris is Korea’s second-largest car maker after Creta.
