New Hyundai Creta with zero gas consumption photographed in Korea

Hyundai is preparing for a planned facelift of its best-selling Hyundai Creta, but in parallel with it, engineers are working on a completely different version of this model, which will run exclusively on electricity. The day before, such a car was captured during tests in South Korea.

The latest spy shots reveal new details regarding the possible design of the electric SUV.

Judging by them, the Creta EV will be different from the upgraded petrol crossover. Although it is still difficult to say this with one hundred percent probability, given the level of camouflage of the prototype.

At the front, the car may get a completely different design with C-shaped LED daytime running lights, a closed grille and redesigned headlights. In addition, such a car should receive alloy wheels of its own design and, probably, slightly redesigned lights and bumper.

The prototype’s incongruously protruding rear exhaust pipe is only intended to confuse spy photographers. Of course, an electric crossover does not need it at all.

Inside the Creta EV, a fully digital instrument cluster is expected to appear, as well as a new transmission mode selector. In an electric crossover, the lever can move to the steering column, as was implemented in another electric car of the concern – Ioniq 5.

It is unknown what the power of the car’s electric motor will be, but there are rumors that a traction battery with a capacity of 50 kW/h has been prepared for the Creta EV. It should provide the crossover with a power reserve of more than 500 kilometers.

The premiere of the “Creta” with zero gasoline consumption should take place towards the end of 2024. The car will go on sale in 2025.
