In recent weeks, PT Astra Honda Motor or AHM is rumored to be preparing for the emergence of a new Honda Vario 125 in Indonesia.
Some suspect, the new Honda Vario 125 will be launched by AHM at the two-wheeler show entitled Indonesia Motorcycles Show or IMOS 2022, November 2022. The iron horse is expected to arrive with a new design, chassis and engine. So what’s AHM’s answer to this?
PT AHM Marketing Director Thomas Wijaya confirmed that IMOS 2022 is a two-wheeled party in Indonesia. However, he could not provide certainty, whether at the fair his party will present the new Honda Vario 125 or not.

“Just wait, (IMOS 2022) there are two months left, so wait. If it’s leaked now, I’m sorry about IMOS,” said Thomas Wijaya when confirmed by the media crew in Karawang, West Java on Monday, September 19, 2022.

Thomas confirmed that his group is currently still focusing on marketing the newly launched Honda CBR250RR in Indonesia. In the future, he did not rule out the possibility of launching a new Honda Vario 125. However, when asked about the exact date, he was always reluctant to answer.
“For the launch of the new Honda Vario 125, just wait. We will study it. We have not done so so far, we are still focusing on the new Honda CBR250RR,” he said.
Also, according to him, before introducing a new motorcycle, two-wheeler companies conduct research and studies related to consumer interest in Indonesia. That’s why, AHM admitted he didn’t want to be in a hurry.
It is known that the Honda Vario 125 has not received a significant upgrade in a long time, even though this bike is the only 125cc scooter that Honda sells in Indonesia. While competing manufacturers have many models in this segment.
Reflecting on this fact, many people are hoping that Honda will give the Vario 125 a new twist with better looks and performance. In addition, the sale of the motorcycle is fairly regular in Indonesia.
