PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) will launch a new product this week. Although the model was not mentioned, there has been speculation circulating among the public recently.
PT AHM’s certainty about launching a new motorbike was proven by an official invitation that came to the detikOto editorial desk. According to the circular, they will hold a launch procession in Cikarang, West Java on Thursday (21/12).
“In connection with the introduction of new Honda motorbike products, we hereby invite you or journalists assigned to attend the press conference,” reads PT AHM’s invitation received by detikOto.

As stated at the beginning, the manufacturer did not mention the vehicle model launched in Indonesia this week. However, according to news circulating, this product is a Honda Stylo which was launched earlier in Thailand under the name Giorno.
Previously, a motorbike patent suspected to be the Honda Stylo had appeared in the Official Industrial Design News No. 59/DI/2023 issued by the Directorate of Copyright and Industrial Design, Directorate General of Intellectual Property, Ministry of Law and Human Rights.
In terms of design, the vehicle carries a classic style that is identical to the Honda Giorno in Thailand. In fact, in application number A00202304557, the motorbike is said to have been designed by Wongsakorn Wattanavekin from Thailand and Takashi Watanabe from Japan.

Meanwhile, the applicant’s name is Honda Motor Co. Ltd with an address in Tokyo, Japan. The application was received on October 13 and announced a month later.
In Thailand, the Honda Giorno as the Stylo’s twin is priced starting at 61,900 baht or around IDR 26 million. Unfortunately, it is not yet known for certain, if it does enter Indonesia, whether the vehicle will use a 125cc or 160cc engine.
Apart from the Honda Stylo, there are other allegations regarding the new Honda motorbike which will be launched this week, namely the mass production version of the Honda EM1. Previously, electric vehicles had appeared several times at national automotive exhibitions.
